Washington State has a very different energy code than the rest of the US. It doesn’t just set a new standard for energy efficiency, it also sets a new standard for sustainability. The Washington State code helps people have a more sustainable way to live in their homes, and this code should be required for new construction.
The Washington State Energy Code, for example, is a pretty simple idea. It’s the kind of energy that will save you a lot of money on the local economy, but it also provides you with a way to actually get off the ground.
The most important thing is to get a bunch of smart people in here that know how to deal with energy bills and make them pay off when they can. We need to be smart.
The first thing we need to do is make sure that the state’s energy supply is going to be reliable. Right now it’s one of the areas of Washington where there are serious flaws in the system. The system is also rife with potential problems that will cause costs to skyrocket when it comes to our energy bills.
The problem is that we have so many ways of getting energy that the problems and potential problems are spread throughout the state. In a few short years, we will be the leading state in energy efficiency. We will be the first state to get energy from the sun. And we will be the first to get solar panels on all of our buildings.
That’s why in Wash DC we have the sun (but not the moon). It takes energy from the sun to make water, and then solar panels on every roof, and all buildings, will be able to get their energy from a source that most of the world just doesn’t have.
Oh, and the Washington State Energy Code was passed by the Governor, who is an idiot. The code was written by a couple of guys who had a bunch of ideas on how to save money on utility bills. It is designed to be a “yes” or “no” answer to the question, “Is it possible to save energy?”.
The energy codes, like many regulations and policies, are more of a “must do” than they are a “want to do.” A lot of those have been updated since they were originally written. If you’re going to be living in a state where it is mandatory to have a solar system on your roof, make sure your bill includes the cost of a solar panel.
The same principle applies to the energy codes. If you have to be in a state where the laws prohibit you from lighting a candle, you can’t light one if you have to pay for a candle.
If you are going to be in a state where the laws are mandatory, don’t put up a candle. Light the candle if you can get it to light up. When you have a candle, the energy cost is the same as you have to pay for the electricity. If you pay for the electricity, it’s not going to be better.
